김현구 시 연구

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 논문은 강진의 시문학파 동인인 김현구의 시세계와 미의식을 밝히는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 김영랑이나 정지용의 시와 어떻게 다른가를 밝히기 위해서는 그의 시가 가지고 있는 시적 형상화의 원리와 방법을 치밀하게 탐색해야 할 것이다.
현구의 시는 기본적으로 땅찔래꽃의 눈물처럼 애틋하면서도 새아씨 웃음 같이 걷잡을 수 없는 역설적인 세계이다. 눈물과 웃음이 공존하는 마음의 세계가 그것이다. 똑같은 시공간에서 느끼는 봄이라도 그 속에서 기쁨과 생명의 물결을 보기도 하지만 동시에 옛 설움을 자아내는 물레를 보기도 한다. 시인으로서의 현구는 꽃이 피고 지는 그 순간에 불생불멸의 높은 경지인 ‘빛나는 설움’을 경험하지만, 생활인으로서는 슬픔에 젖어서 외롭게 울고 있는 검정 비둘기(玄鳩)일 뿐이다. 과거의 기억이나 가난, 또는 자신의 성격이 슬픔과 고독의 원인이기도 하지만 현구는 그것들 속에 ‘마음속 빛나는 길’을 마련한다.
그는 현실의 비애를 극복하는 삶의 방편으로 시를 썼다. 자신이 시적 대상과 만나는 순간에 경험하는 황홀과 희열을 순간의 아름다움으로 형상화 하고 있는데, 그 시적 방식은 김영랑처럼 마음의 공명이 끝나고 나서 그것을 한 폭의 동양화처럼 이미지화하는 것이 아니라 마음의 공명과정 그 자체에서 섬세하게 움직이는 마음의 변화를 포착하여 비유적으로 표현하고 있다. 현구가 ‘내마음’의 세계에서 물오리처럼 잠방거리면서 시를 쓰는 행위자체가 자신의 넋을 기쁘게 하고 황홀을 경험하는 행위이기 때문에 그에게 시 쓰기는 존재의 이유이자 삶의 탈출구였던 셈이다. 예술시로서의 서정시 의 모범을 보여줄 수 있었던 것은 이런 순간의 미학이 구체적인 형상성을 얻었기 때문일 것이다.
따라서 현구의 시세계와 시적 태도가 영랑이나 지용과도 구별되는 독특함을 지니고 있다고 한다면, 현구를 시문학파의 아류쯤으로 치부하는 기존의 평가는 지양되어야 할 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to highlight the poetic-world and aesthetic consciousness of Kim, Hyungu who was active in as a coterie of Simunhakpa. We need to search for the principles of methods of poetic figuration of Kim’s poems elaborately in order to verify that Kim’s poem differ from Kim, Youngrang and Jeong Giyong.
Hyungu’s poem is basically the paradoxical world that is pitiful like tears of terra-multiflora, yet is unable to get out of hand like laughter of new-mistress. That is world of heart where is a melting pot of tears and laughter. Even if the feeling of spring in same time and space, Kim show a wave of joy and life too, but at the same see the spinning wheel out the old sorrow.
Hyungu as poet had gone through shining sorrow of the high ground of the immortality at the moment of the flower blooming and falling. But to remain
to him as personal life was black dove crying lonely grief-wet only. He found a shinning way in mind in the midst of memories of the past, or poor, sadness and loneliness. He wrote poem as a way of life to overcome the sorrow of the real world. He had given shape of ecstatic and orgasm that are experienced moments meet with the poetic subject.
His poetic method is to express figuratively with picked up a delicately moving a change of mind of the resonance process of the heart. It is differ from Youngrang’s poems which did imaging like of oriental painting after the resonance width of the heart. Writing poem was his reason for being and escapeway to him for to write poem was the act of pleasing his soul and experience the ecstatic. The reason why his poem was able to show as an example of the lyric, the aesthetics of this moment had a concrete figurativity.
Therefore, Hyungu’s poetry and poetic attitude have a unique feature to distinguish from Youngrang and Giyong. We need to sublate the existing valuation that his poem is a poor imitation of Simunhakpa.
