The purpose of this study is that the analysis of the impact of which consumers' behavior pattern shopping at large-scale discount stores to a trade area. The materials for this study have been analyzed based on the data of consumers who have been shopping at 'A' store through 2005. As for the methodology of this study, the relationship analysis and multi-regression, which are using SPSS has been adapted. This study may have explained active consumers' moving area with mapping of the trade area. Multiple regression analysis multi-regression has been run for this study, which consumers' total consumption has been used as an independency. The major variables used at regression are the distance from the store, frequency, ages, and unit shopping amount. The household income has been used as a dummy variable. According to the result of this analysis which has been used 269 meaningful data among 300 data, the distance from the store has not impact much to the establishment of the trade area.After analysis of the precedent studies, both the variety of merchandise and the distance from the store have been considered as the most important selection criteria in general type of large-scale discount stores. However, the result of this study has been analyzed with difference I guess because the operation character of 'A' store which has been a sample in this study is different from other large stores. Through this study, the unit shopping amount has been reversed the frequency. The area, which is relatively high income area, the difference between the unit shopping amount and the annual purchasing amount has not been high. The limit of this study is because the objective of this study has been researched 'A' store alone, the comparison with other stores has not been analyzed. Therefore this study has grasped optimal variables through a simple relationship analysis in showing the trade area. And the analysis of the research result through multi-regression among the variables, the trade area scope has been apprehended. In the future, this study will be used as the data for selecting new stores with the users' interpretation to this, and I think this may be researched additionally on the difference of the trade area scale and the consumers' behavior with existing stores.
