The general aim of this study is to explore the significance of organizational culture and individual value, and to investigate systematically its effects on the motivation in a nonprofit organization. Especially, this study assumes that the nonprofit organizational culture is divided into three types of power orientation culture, task orientation culture and role orientation culture.
To achieve the goal of this study, 335 questionnaires were distributed to regular and irregular employees of 5 nonprofit organizations from 01 June, 2007 to 20 November, 2007. Total 142 valid cases were used for the corroborative evidence.
The outcomes of the analysis of the empirical study may be summed up as follows. First of all, there are attentional functions between types of the nonprofit organizational culture and factors of the individual value. Secondly, the types of nonprofit organizational culture don’t have significant influences on the factors of motivation. Thirdly, the factor of nonprofit employee’s individual value doesn’t have significant effects on the factors of motivation.
In the future, we need sample surveys about lots of the nonprofit organizations to get the reliability and validity of these outcomes.
