Graphic pattern and curves of serum protein partitioned by electrophoretic method of analysis was observed among women in normal pregnancy, puerperium and those with toxemia of pregnancy. The results :
1) The graphic pattern of serum protein revealed characteristic patterns which could not be elicited by quantitative method.
2) The graphic pattern of serum protein in pregnant women presented tall, slender and symmetrical peak of beta curve.
3) A curve in which alpha 2 and beta zone was poorly separated in women with toxemia of pregnancy.
4) A prominently tall and slender gamma peak was observed in blood serum collected from the umbilical cord of the newborn.
