The purpose of this study is to develop an advanced vocationalfunction screening test in order to choose appropriate employment servicesfor job seekers with disabilities. The previous EDI vocational functionscreening test (developed in 2008) is composed of two sectors-physicaland mental-with six factors of vocational function including 29 questions. However, norms and a manual for the test are yet to be developed. It isalso for this purpose-the creation of a set of norms and a manual-thatthis study has been undertaken.
Surveys of vocational function screening have been completed by 2,701people with disabilities. In all, 1,186 disabled workers of regular companies,929 disabled workers under protected employment and 586 beneficiaries ofwelfare service are included. In addition, a comparison of subjective andobjective weighting methods has been made to select the appropriatecriteria for the test. A resultant objective weighting method utilizingregression coefficients best distinguishes those above-mentioned groups. Also, pilot tests have been carried out by three vocational competencyevaluators and their results showed a need for the test to be adjusted andproper supports for the test need to be provided according to type andcharacteristics of disability, when applied.
