Negative Agreement = Negative Agreement

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

In this paper I show that negative agreement is subject to locality by observing the distribution of NPI in a couple of different negation constructions from Korean. I will attempt to offer an analysis of the related phenomena in terms of Agree, as defined in Chomsky (2000, 2001). I argue that this analysis should be grounded on the underlyingly head-initial structure under the SVO hypothesis in Korean, but not on the traditional head-final structure under the SOV hypothesis.
