○ Ethical·legal·social problems associated with commercialization of genomic technology and genome data
- DTC(Direct to Customer) genetic testing’s problems and figure out relating ethical·legal·social effects
○ Expert survey on technological impacts and its ethical·legal·social implications
- Investigate Korea’s genetic science related researcher’s opinions about CRISPR-Cas9 technology’s advancing and commercialization of DTC genetic testing’s effects relating ethical·legal·social problems and clarifying the undertone
- Investigate ethicist, jurist, and public opinion based on result’s of scientists opinion and provide policy suggestion on the basis of the research results
○ 2 thesis of KCI level (1 thesis by yearly)
○ Hosting Genomics ELSI forum 20 times (monthly, including 2 times of international forum)
○ To proceed ethical, legal, social research in timely manner with developing human genome research relating for gene editing technology and precision medicine’s establishment, and diffuse the results to society
○ To propose policy direction for more sound commercialization of gene technology and genome data
○ To derive the latest genome technology’s ethical, legal, social critical mind’s through genome researchers to build regulate governance for future research’s sound invigoration and clinical adaptation

○ 유전체 연구 분야의 법·윤리·사회적 이슈 해결을 위한 학문적 성과 도출 및 결과의 사회적 확산
○ 유전체 기술, 유전체 정보의 오·남용 방지 및 임상적용을 위한 윤리·법·사회적 문제 규명
○ 유전체 연구 기술의 발전에 따른 윤리·법·사회적 문제
- 정밀의료와 관련된 윤리·법·사회적 쟁점들을 확인하고 관련 문제 규명
- 유전자 가위 기술과 관련된 윤리·법·사회적 쟁점을 규명
○ 유전체 정보의 제공 및 상업화와 관련된 윤리·법·사회적 문제
- DTC(Direct to Customer) 유전자 검사에 대한 윤리·법·사회적 쟁점을 규명
○ 유전체 연구자 대상 ELSI 관련 쟁점 사항 연구
- 국내 생명공학분야, 임상유전학분야의 대표적인 연구자들을 대상으로 CRISPR-Cas9 기술의 발전 및 기술이 미칠 영향, DTC 유전자 검사의 상업화가 사회에 미칠 영향과 관련된 윤리적, 법적 문제에 대한 의견을 조사하고 그 함의를 밝히고자 함
- 과학자들의 의견 조사 결과를 바탕으로 윤리학자, 법학자 및 일반 국민들의 인식을 조사하고, 연구 결과를 바탕으로 정책적 제언을 하고자 함
○ KCI 급 논문 총 2편 (연차별 각각 1편씩)
○ Genomics ELSI 포럼 총 20회 개최 (매월 1회씩, 국제포럼 2회 포함)
○ 유전자 가위 기술 및 정밀의료의 정착과 관련하여, 인간 유전체 연구의 발전에 맞추어 시의 적절하게 윤리·법·사회적 연구를 진행하고 그 결과를 사회에 확산하고자 함
○ 유전체 기술과 유전체 정보의 보다 건전한 상업적 활용을 위한 정책방향을 제언하고자 함
○ 유전체 연구자들을 통하여 최신 유전체 기술의 윤리·법·사회적 문제의식을 이끌어냄으로써 향후 연구의 건전한 활성화 및 임상적 도입을 위한 규제 거버넌스를 구축하기 위한 연구 자료로 이용하고자 함
