A Study on the Relationship between Principals' Moral Leadership and Teachers' Organizational Commitment in School OrganizationRu, yunsek(Suncheon Cheongam College)The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between moral leadership and organizational commitment in schools. The concrete purpose of this study are as follows; First, to analyze teachers' perception of moral leadership in elementary schools. Second, to analyze teachers' commitment in elementary schools. Third, to analyze the relationship between moral leadership and commitment in elementary schools. Fourth, to analyze the effectiveness between moral leadership and commitment in elementary schools. The sample for this study was 262 elementary school teachers in Jellanamdo province. The statistical methods for data processing were Pearson's correlation with SPSS program.The conclusions that resulted from data analysis were as follows ; First, there was significant correlation between moral leadership and an work-area variable, but there was not significant correlation in other variables. Second, there was not significant correlation between organizational commitment and work-area, teachers' sex, teachers' career. Third, there was significant correlation between moral leadership and organizational commitment. Fourth, Principal's moral leadership effect to teachers' organizational commitment.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 교사가 지각하는 학교장의 도덕적 지도성과 교사의 조직헌신도와의 관계를 분석하는 데 목적이 있다. 구체적인 연구의 목적은 교사들이 지각하는 교장의 도덕적 지도성, 교사들의 조직에 대한 헌신도, 도덕적 지도성과 조직헌신도와의 관계, 도덕적 지도성이 조직 헌신도에 미치는 영향을 분석하는 데 두었다. 본 연구는 전남지역 초등학교에 근무하는 262명의 교사를 대상으로 실시되었으며, 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다.첫째, 교장의 도덕적 지도성은 지역에 따라 의미 있는 차이가 있지만, 학교규모, 교장의 학력 등에서는 의미 있는 차이가 없었다. 둘째, 교사의 조직에 대한 헌신도는 농촌지역, 소규모 학교, 남교사, 교직 경력이 높을수록 높게 나타났지만 의미 있는 차이를 보이지 않았다. 셋째, 교장의 도덕적 지도성과 교사의 조직헌신도 간의 상관관계는 높은 정적 관계를 나타냈다. 넷째, 교장의 도덕적 지도성은 교사의 조직 헌신도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.
