The purpose of this study was to identify counseling intervention strategies suitable for male clients. While existing counseling research has increasingly focused on culturally sensitive interventions, strategies that explicitly consider gender, particularly those tailored for men, have remained limited. To address this gap, we gathered and analyzed the perspectives of 33 counseling experts with experience working with male clients. As a result, eight major categories and 19 subcategories of intervention strategies were identified. The major categories included: gender role socialization and identity (exploring attitudes toward traditional masculinity norms, discussing the impact of these norms on the client, and examining discrepancies between societal expectations and personal identity); structured counseling processes; emotional interventions; stress management and problem-solving interventions (enhancing stress management skills, implementing concrete problem-solving interventions); building the counseling relationship; strength-based interventions; interpersonal interventions; and the use of language appropriate for men.
