“Pablo de Sarasate, Zigeunerweisen op. 20” 과 “Vittorio Monti, Czardas” 비교를 통한 집시 바이올린 음악 연구

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 논문은 19세기의 바이올리니스트이자 작곡자인 파블로 사라사테 (Pablo de Sarasate, 1844-1908)가 작곡한 찌고이네르바이젠 (Zigeunerweisen op.20) 과 이탈리아 출신의 바이올리니스트이자 만돌리니스트 겸 작곡가인 비토리오 몬티 (Vittorio Monti, 1868-1922) 가 작곡한 차르다쉬 (Csardas)를 비교 분석하고, 두 곡의 기본이 되는 공통 음악형식 즉, 집시음악에 대한 연구이다.
집시들의 음악은 낭만시대에 유럽 음악계에 큰 영향을 미쳐 당대 유명 작곡가들에게 영감을 주었고, 성악곡, 오페라, 기악곡 등 수많은 작품 속에서 재탄생 되었다. 틀에 박히지 않은 자유로움과 애수에 젖은 멜로디는 대중의 인기를 끌기에 충분했었으며, 이러한 유명세를 빌어 천대받고 차별받던 집시들의 민요와 춤곡이 오히려 대중성을 띄게 되면서 오늘날까지 많은 연주가들에 의해 사랑받고 있다.
특히 방랑의 삶을 살아야했던 집시들의 가장 대표적 악기가 바이올린으로 대표되는 현악기 피들 (fiddle)이라는 점은 다수의 저명 작곡가들이 바이올린 곡을 통해 더더욱 다양하고 농도 짙은 완성도를 가진 집시 멜로디를 표현하고자 했고 그 유산을 현재에 이르고 있다.
연구자는 그 중에서도 특히 바이올린 연주자라면 누구나 한 번 쯤은 연주했고, 그 예술성과 기교에 압도당했을 두 개의 대표적인 집시 선율 바이올린 곡을 선택하여 집중적으로 살펴보고자 하며, 주요 멜로디의 조성, 화성, 리듬 및 템포와 연주기법 등을 전반적으로 분석하여 실제 이 곡을 연주하고자 하는 연주자들에게 도움을 주고자 한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This work is a comparative analysis on Zigeunerweisen op.20, Composed by a Spanish violinist and a composer, Pablo de Sarasate (1844-1908) and Czardas, composed by an Italian violinist, mandolist and composer, Vittorio Monti (1868-1922) and this analysis will study Gypay music that is present in both works.
The music of Gypsies had a great influence on the European music scene during the Romantic Era asit inspired many famous composers of the time Gypsy music was recreated in numerous works such as vocal music, opera, and instrumental music. The unconventional freedom and mourning melody were perfect for gaining popularity from the public, and the folk songs and dances of the Gypsies, which were despised and discriminated against, became more popular and are loved by many musicians to this day.
As the most favorable instrument of Gypsies, who had to live a wandering life, was a fiddle, a string instrument commonly recognized as a violin, many prominent composers tried to express the gypsy melody with a more diverse and clarify.
The researcher focuses on two representative gypsy violin pieces that most violinists would have played at least once in their lives, and would have been overwhelmed by the works artistry and finesse of the techniques. Therefore, I aim to help performers who want to perform these works by presenying general performance technique.
