학습자 관점에서 우편원격교육의 성과 탐색 = Exploring the benefits of postal distance education on learner's perspective

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to qualitatively explore what kinds benefits postal distance education programs have and propose some implications for the postal distance education system in terms of workplace learning. To do this, this study conducted face to face interview with 4 employees who have participated in at least 3 postal distance education programs for the last twelve months. The interview questionnaire was developed based upon the necessity and purpose of the study. Data was analyzed according to the 4 step method suggested by Strauss and Corbin(1998). Through analysis process, results were categorized and coded. The benefits of postal distance education includes (1) job competency development (understanding of new trends and acquiring fundamental knowledge, expertise development, competency development for future, just in time learning and applying to the workplace), (2) mind of understanding others, (3) reading for developing competency, and (4) building the learning community to share his or her knowledge with others. Some roles of postal education on workplace learning in companies are discussed based on the findings of this study.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 기업내 우편원격교육의 성과를 학습자 관점에서 탐색하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 우편원격교육과정에 참여한 직장인을 대상으로 개별 면담조사를 실시하였다. 면담대상자로는 지난 12개월 동안 우편원격교육 수강 경험이 3회 이상인 수강생 4명을 선정하였다. 이들을 대상으로 우편원격교육 수강 현황, 수강 동기, 수강성과에 대한 면담조사가 이루어졌다. 면담자료는 Strauss와 Corbin(1998)의 4단계 분석방법을 적용하여 면담조사 결과를 범주화하고 코드를 부여하였다. 분석 결과 학습자들은 우편원격교육이 첫째, 직무역량 개발(최신 트렌드 이해 및 배경 지식 습득, 전문성 향상, 미래에 필요한 역량 개발, Just in time 학습 및 적용), 둘째, 타인이해 마인드 함양, 셋째, 자기 변화 촉진(자기성찰, 학습의욕 고취, 좋은 습관 형성), 넷째, 독서 능력 향상, 다섯째, 학습동아리 구축 및 지식공유에 있어 성과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구 결과를 기초로 기업에서 우편원격교육의 활용에 대한 몇 가지 함의를 제안하였다.
