This study was to compare with 2 groups in order to see the differences of the career self- efficacy, career decision level and career preparation behavior.
The research was performed as below;
114 Juveniles in probation and 147 average adolescents were picked and tested the questionaries of career self- efficacy, career decision level and career preparation behavior. These questionaries were gathered and analyzed by SPSS 12.0 statistics package. And the differences of 2 groups were conducted by F Verification Average Comparison.
The results of this study are following;
First, there were not any meaningful differences of the career self- efficacy between Juveniles in probation and average adolescents. This study showed that everyone in 2 groups collected the information of their career, planed what to do with their goal setting and made their efforts and estimated themselves.
Second, there were not any differences in their recognition of career decision level of between Juveniles in probation and average adolescents. This study represented that all in 2 groups confirmed the trouble factors of career decision level, experienced conflicts, found out information about career and had serious attitude for it.
Third, there was a meaningful difference in career preparation behavior between Juveniles in probation and average adolescents. In this study, Juveniles in probation were more prepared for career preparation behavior than average adolescents. The reason of this results seems to be effects of programs which Probation Center ran during probation for Juveniles in probation. Also, Juveniles in probation knew the needs of career, got information about career and tried to get a certificate or license.
To sum up, there were not any differences of career self- efficacy, career decision level between Juveniles in probation and average adolescents. However, in the difference of career preparation behavior, Juveniles in probation were higher than average adolescents.
The hope through this study is to be taken advantages of reference in making a program that guides juveniles in difficulties during career development.
