      This study was performed for the investigation of management of personnel, wages, welfare, communication, labor, safety, treatment improvement , job satisfaction according to the type of employment.
      This study was based on the final analysis summarized on the 401 questionnaire answered by employee of food cooker for school meal in Jeonbuk area after distributing total 450 questionnaire.
      Statistical methods used in this study were a x2-test and t-test with SPSS(ver. 12.0) software.
      The conclusion of this analysis of study is as following.
      1. The demographic data showed that 62.6% of respondents were in their 40s, 51.6% were high school graduates, 3.7% were college graduates. Regarding overall experience in their current workplace, 71.1% had been in their position over 5 years, 16.0% indicated 3~5years, 8.5% 1~3years, and 4.4% said less than 1year. It is significant on their type of employment(p<0.001). Most of the school meal was served in the dining room(93.5%).
      2. When comparing cooker based on their type of employment, regularly employed cooker arranged in the elementary school(p<0.001), urban area(p<0.01), 1time of day(p<0.001) higher than the irregularly employed cooker.
      3. 311 of the 401 cookers are dissatisfied in the wage level. They want 112ten-thousand(won) of the monthly average.
      4. Internal conflict is mainly caused by work responsibility(40.4%) and clash or private views(22.2%) and they solve this problems by toleration or settlement out of court.
      5. This report says the cleaning and washing is very hard works and the cooking room with high temperature and humidity shall be improved but these inconvenience and their requirements are not well reflected and improved.
      6. Most employees didn`t use vacation days because of their economical state. Many of them are feeling to a fatigue and ill health and the condition of occupational disease as hard work. The long term vacation like sick day or childcare vacation is newly established by present improvement of working condition but this improvement action is ineffective.
      7. Worse health after working was significant difference between regular cookers and irregular cookers(p<0.05). 60.8% of the regular cooker and 48.6% of the irregular cooker replied yes.
      8. Cookers are having hard time use of holiday(67.6%). Regarding employment type, regular cooker has hardship higher than irregular cooker (p<0.01).(71.3% vs 57.1%)
      9. Average of satisfaction of occupation was 2.53±0.01(4 Likert score; 4-very satisfied). The satisfaction between regular cooker and irregular cooker were not significant difference. The satisfaction of pride of serving the safe food is the greatest score(3.37±0.03). On the contrary the satisfaction of pay is lowest(1.99±0.02).
      In conclusion, this study revealed that both regular cooker and irregular cook had low levels of satisfaction in term of work salary and welfare, holiday, working environment. According to this study, job satisfaction and salary were positively related. Thus, a greater salary is needed for career advancement. Employees who had greater job satisfaction had greater work satisfaction. When manager make staffing decisions, they need to hire those who will have higher job satisfaction.
