Traducción y enfermedades: estudio interdisciplinar de voces de patologías en Biblias de Hispanoamérica = Translation and Diseases: An Interdisciplinary Study of Pathological Terms in Hispanic American Bibles

Esta investigación tiene como objetivo analizar las denominaciones de algunas patologías en las Biblias de Hispanoamérica. Concretamente, se han examinado los nombres traducidos al español con comentarios de otros ámbitos. Para este estudio, se han seleccionado cuatro enfermedades que aparecen en el Nuevo Testamento: lunatismo, flujo de sangre, mano seca y gangrena. Como fuente bíblica, se han elegido cuatro Biblias de Hispanoamérica: Reina-Valera Antigua (RVA-1909), Reina-Valera 1960 (RVA-1960), La Biblia de Las Américas (LBLA) y Nueva Biblia de Las Américas (NBLA). A través de este estudio, se ha podido constatar que la traducción no es una simple labor de trasladar de texto a texto, sino también un trabajo que requiere una interpretación precisa para reflejar todos los aspectos que rodeaban la época en que se escribió la Biblia. Asimismo, para una comprensión acertada, es necesario tener en cuenta los contextos históricos, culturales y doctrinales para mostrar con claridad los aspectos guardados en la Sagrada Palabra.

This research aims to analyze the denominations of some pathologies in the Bibles of Latin America. Specifically, the translated names in Spanish have been examined along with insights from other disciplinary areas. For this study, four diseases mentioned in the New Testament have been selected: lunacy, blood flow, withered hand, and gangrene. As biblical sources, four Latin American Bibles have been chosen: Reina-Valera Antigua (RVA-1909), Reina-Valera 1960 (RVA-1960), The Bible of the Americas (LBLA), and New Bible of the Americas (NBLA). Through this study, it has been observed that translation is not merely a matter of transferring text from one language to another, but also a task that requires precise interpretation to reflect all the aspects surrounding the time when the Bible was written. Likewise, for accurate comprehension, it is necessary to consider the historical, cultural, and doctrinal contexts to clearly present the aspects contained in the Holy Scriptures.
