디터람스에 관한 전시 공간 리뉴얼을 위한 연구 -기초 디자인 요소를 중심으로- = Study on renewal of exhibition space for "Dieter Rams" -focusing on basic design elements-

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 공간 디자인 스튜디오Ⅱ 수업에서 총15주간 진행된 공간 디자인 프로세스 연구로서, 공간기초 디자인 이론을 바탕으로 한 전시 공간 디자인프로젝트이다. 본 연구의 과정은 총 세 과정으로 이루어져 있으며, 먼저 선(Line), 형태(Form), 빛(Light),색(Color) 등의 기초 디자인 이론을 통해 디자인 요소에 대한 이해와 이를 공간에 적용하여 프로젝트 아이디어 도출 과정을 선행하였다. 두 번째로는 FrankStella의 작품을 바탕으로 공간 디자인 요소들의 형태적 변화와 주요 특징 요소들을 이용해 조형적인 공간을 구성하였다. 마지막으로 공간에 기능을 적용시켜전시 공간 계획을 진행하였으며 도면, 다이어그램, 동선, 소재 등 이러한 계획 과정을 구체화하여 표현하였다. 이 단계에서 기존 전시 공간 스터디를 통해 문제점을 파악하고 해결책을 도출하여 공간의 컨셉과 목적을 구체화하였다. 끝으로 본 연구는 기존의 기능에 따른 공간 디자인의 프로세스와 달리 디자인 요소와 원리에 따른 형태적조형미를 탐구 한 후 그에 걸 맞는 브랜드의 적용과 전시라는 기능을 반영한 공간 디자인 프로세스 개발에 있어 향후 기초 자료로 활용될 것으로 기대한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The study was carried out as a project for the 15 week-long Spatial Design Studio Ⅱ class for the department of Environmental Design, and the project was to develop a spatial design based on the basic theory of spatial design. The process of this study consists three phases. First, the study developed ideas for the project in advance based on the understanding of design elements through exploration of basic design theories on line, form, light, color, etc. and then applied them to space. Second, the study created a formative space by identifying and using morphological changes of spatial design elements and major characteristic factors based on the exploration of the works of Frank Stella. Lastly, the exhibition space planning was conducted by applying functions to space, and the planning processes such as drawings, diagrams, moving lines, and materials are specifically expressed. In this phase, problems were identified by analyzing the existing studies on exhibition space and solutions were to substantiate the concept and purpose of the space. All in all, this study’s findings are expected to be utilized as basic data for future studies on the development of spatial design processes, which will explore morphological aesthetics based on design elements and principles, which apply a correspondingly adequate brand, and which reflect an exhibition function unlike the existing process of function-oriented spatial design.
