Starting with 'Mokpo Modern Historical District' in 2018, 10 Places 'Modern Historical District' were registered as national registered cultural properties by 2021. This is because the public's interest in modern cultural properties has increased, and the Urban Regeneration Project linked to modern cultural properties has become active. However, research on the 'modern historical District' is insufficient. 'Modern Historical District' is characterized by the fact that the management of the existing modern cultural heritage is changed to "Face unit", from "point unit". Managing it as a "Face unit" has the advantage of being excellent in preserving the "historic landscape." In addition, in order to make the management of a wide range of 'Face units' sustainable, the revitalization of the 'modern historical and cultural space' through the participation of citizens must be premised. However, the revitalization of the "modern historical District" through the participation of citizens should not undermine the "value of historical scenery." Therefore, I think it is more important than anything else to find values, share them with citizens, and sympathize with them as a cultural heritage that forms the "historic landscape" of the "modern historical District." 'Iksan Som-ri Modern Historical District' was created in Japanese colonial era and is located in the old town where commerce developed. For this reason, commercial buildings are developed along the street, and 78.6%, or 81 out of 103 buildings facing the street, are commercial buildings, and the Facade of commercial buildings forms the "main street view." Therefore, through an analysis of the form and finishing materials constituting the Facade of commercial buildings, the value of the standing of commercial buildings constituting the "main street view" was investigated. In the standing study of commercial buildings, the standing type and finishing materials were classified into types by era, and the effects of institutions, technologies, and materials industries were analyzed to confirm the causes and patterns of changes by era. 「The monthly transaction price」 published in 1962 by the Korea Construction Association, which was used as a reference in this study, is considered an important data for the study of the Facade of modern and contemporary buildings as it can confirm the types and specifications of building finishes distributed in each year. This data is stored as a book in the warehouse, but it is difficult to use information because it is not computerized, and it is urgent to preserve it because it is an old data published since 1962. Through this study, it was confirmed that the commercial buildings "Facade shape", "finishing material", and "structural method" in the area of "Iksan Som-ri Modern Historical Distrct" show the changes and development history of architecture from Japanese colonial era to the present. Therefore, it can be said that the "standing form" and "finishing material" of commercial buildings are the main elements that constitute the "value as a cultural heritage" of the "historic landscape." However, 41.9% of the 81 buildings, or 31 out of them, do not belong to the "Iksan Som-ri Modern Historical District", so measures are needed to preserve the landscape. Therefore, preservation management such as "expansion of zones" to include 31 buildings to preserve "historic landscapes", "drawing, photographic records", and "establishment of management manuals" is necessary to maintain the Facade and finishing materials of commercial buildings.
