This article provides a theoretical analysis of community culture. Culture has been a very important but intriguing topic for social scientists because it encompasses all aspects of human life. Also most studies, either theoretical or empirical, focused on cultures at the organizational or societal levels. It is very difficult to find cultural studies at the community level. There may be many reasons. However, the most important one will be over-emphasis of mass culture. However, several recent social trends such as the 'glocalization' of societies ask students of community development focus more on community culture. With this in mind, this paper attempts to provide theoretical analysis of community culture as an area of community development.
