For this study 45 combinations of F_1 and F_2 generations were bred from 10×10 diallel cross of cotton during the period from April to December, 1988. The heterosis effects were analyzed with the following results;
1. Days to number of ball per plant showed -19.10% heterosis in F_1 generation, and -9.40% in F_2, boll weight -3.26% in F_1, height 1.72% in F_2, numbers of seed & and lint weight per ball, view, 2.69% in F_1 and 1.63% in F_2.
2. Length of seed 0.80% showed heterosis in F_1 and 2.87% in F_2, width of seed -9.86% in F_1 and 0.54% in F_2.
3. Denier showed 3.86% in heterosis of similarity in F_1 and 4.27% in F_2, fiber length view -2.5% in F_1 and -4.82% in F_2.
