문학교육, 세계를 생각하다 : 독일의 문학교수법 -이론적 논의와 적용을 중심으로- = Literature Education in Germany -Focusing on the Discussion and Application of Theories-

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This paper intends to research the teaching of literature in Germany. In the 18th and 19th centuries, literature education was considered part of liberal education of humanities. A theory of literature education was established by Hermann Helmers under the influence of a work-internal interpretation of the 1960s. A reader-centered method of literary interpretation prevailed in the 1970s. As result, a recipient-oriented concept of literature education was popular. The behavior- and production-oriented method of teaching literature has been regarded as an important approach since the 1980s. The post-modern approach to literature education, which was influenced by the literature theory of Post-modernism, was introduced in the 1990s. Since then, the perspectives that focus on ‘intertextuality’, ‘intermediality’, ‘interculturality’, have been discussed among didactic theorists. First, the concept ‘intertextuality’, which pays attention to the connection between literary texts, has recently been accepted as a request in the teaching of literature. Second, according to the concept ‘intermediality’, which emphasizes the dynamic relationship among the media productions, many literary films have especially been treated as a learning material in literature classes. Third, depending on the concept ‘interculturality’, intercultural perspectives have been searched out in classic literature, and interests in foreign literature have been on the rise. In brief, this study focuses on the development of literature education and the application of its theories to the textbooks in Gymnasiums in Germany.
