러시아어의 슬픔 의미 연구: 감정 언어의 인지의미론적 고찰 = Russian Sadness: An Investigation of Emotion Term in Cognitive Linguistics

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The present paper explains a group of words related to SADNESS in Russian. So-called pseudo-synonyms of SADNESS form a semantic network. The semantic network has been called with various names such as semantic field, thesaurus, etc. The words in the network are related to each other and the relationship among the words is under investigation in this paper. Individual word signifies SADNESS in its own way and the semantic characteristics of the words formulates and defines the words in the network. Corpus data verify the relationship of the words. The relationship can be classified into four types - parallel, modifying, situational and discoursive relations. These relations show that the words are pseudo-synonyms of SADNESS. The uniqueness of their use in sentences reveals the characteristics of the semantic network. In addition to the synonyms, there are antonyms and other words semantically related to SADNESS. The relationship between the prototypical word sad and the words is also investigated and helps us understand the category of SADNESS and the meta-category of emotion.
