This study has classified the aesthetic characteristics of romantic images in baroque paintings into naturalness, exoticism, sensuality and ornamentation and discovered that modern make-up has evolved under the influence of these aesthetic characteristics. As a result, naturalness affected natural make-up which pursued a natural and comfortable look without artificial details. Exoticism affected oriental make-up which creates exotic images in the East, Inca, Ancient America and Africa with yearning for the unknown world, expressing glossy and dark skin tones and using strong colors. Sensuality expresses a sexual desire. It affected the make-up which emphasizes femininity and uses intense red color. Ornamentation makes people more attractive. It affected the make-up which uses fancy ornaments, colors and materials.
