판소리 문화관광 프로그램 현황과 과제 = The current state of Pansori tour program some problems

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Pansori is the representative Korean music genre constituted world cultural heritage sites by UNESCO for its excellent artistry. Nevertheless, it has unique vocalization, particular singing method and long difficult lyrics so that it could not be familiar with foreign people and even Koreans.
In this conditions, it is very encouraging that several experience tour programs about Pansori are conducted recently and also got interest and positive evaluation from participants. this essay is about research the contents and characteristics of new-developed Pansori tour program and its effect in basic expansion of Korean traditional arts and tour revitalization. In this point of view, the meaning and suplementations of Pansori tour programs are proposed in here.
The representative Pansori tour programs are “Surveying the footprints of Pansori masters” conducted in Korean Music Festival and “I'm also Guimyeongchang;audience well-appreciation Pansori audience” of the National Center for Korean Folk Performing Arts. “Surveying the foot prints fo Pansori masters” began in 2006 and “I'm also Guimyeongchang”began in 2007. It shows that Pansori tour industry stands in the starting point. The detail program contains watching Pansori or Changgeuk performance, experience singing Pansori in waterfall, and learning Pansori, surveying historic scene about Pansori.
Pansori tour program offer the good contents to expend tour business in Korea, and it can play an important roll in developing Pansori to global classical art. Growing up local tourism and culture is another valuable meaning of Pansori tour program. While this good points, we must cognize some problems and improve the substances.
First, we should have diverse daily schedule and program contents. Second, this tour must win the general publics containing students as well as devotee of Pansori over to its side by increasing the frequency of tour. Third, in the long view, Pansori tour program needs to be charged cultural item with more high quality and public friendliness. In conclusion, this essay suggests that various contents for Pansori tour will be possessed for commercialization and ruin and cultural sites about Pansori must be protected and well-developed to manage efficiently.
Culture is not just kept and defended but is created newly. We need cultural identity to join world wide society in this global and information age. Pansori tour program is useful contents to spread Korean traditional music and Pansori through out the interesting experiences. The pride that Pansori is one of the most beautiful music may sprout up in this small work.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

판소리는 전통 성악의 꽃이라 할 만큼 뛰어난 예술성을 지녔을 뿐만 아니라 유네스코 지정 세계문화유산으로 등재되어 세계적으로도 가치를 인정받는 전통음악 장르이다. 그럼에도 불구하고, 특유의 발성법과 까다로운 표현기법, 긴 사설내용 때문에 외국인은 물론 내국인조차 쉽게 접근하지 못하는 것이 현실이다.
이러한 상황에서, 최근 몇 가지 판소리에 대한 이해를 돕는 체험 프로그램이 운영되어 점차 사람들의 관심과 긍정적인 평가를 얻어내고 있다는 점은 매우 고무적이다. 본고에서는 아직 개발 초기에 해당되는 판소리 관광 프로그램의 내용과 특징을 조사해보고 전통예술의 저변 확대 및 관광 활성화 측면에서 이와 같은 프로그램이 어떠한 효과를 보이는지 살펴본 뒤 나아가 판소리 관광 프로그램의 의의와 향후 보완되어야 할 점을 짚어보았다.
현재 판소리를 중심으로 운영되는 문화관광 프로그램으로는 나라음악큰잔치의 “판소리 명창의 발자취를 찾아서”와 국립민속국악원의 “토요판소리여행-나도 귀명창”이 대표적이다. “판소리 명창의 발자취를 찾아서”는 작년에, “나도 귀명창”은 올해에 신설된 프로그램으로, 판소리 관광산업이 이제 출발 단계에 서있다는 것을 보여준다. 내용은 판소리 유적지 답사를 중심으로 “판소리 명창의 발자취를 찾아서”는 현장 공연 관람이 준비되어 있고, “나도 귀명창”은 판소리 강습과 폭포에서의 소리 체험, 창극 관람 등으로 이루어져 있다.
판소리 문화관광 프로그램은 국내의 관광 프로그램을 다양화하고 내용을 확장할 수 있는 좋은 콘텐츠를 제공한다. 또한 판소리를 세계적인 예술 문화로 발돋움시키기 위해 판소리의 저변을 확대하는 역할을 할 것이다. 지역 문화예술을 활성화하고 지역 관광 산업을 육성하는 것도 판소리 문화관광 프로그램이 지니는 중요한 의의라 할 수 있다.
반면, 판소리 문화관광 프로그램이 지속적으로 발전하기 위해서는 몇 가지 문제점을 인식하고 이를 보완해나가야 할 것으로 보인다. 첫째는 프로그램의 일정과 내용을 다양화하는 것이다. 둘째로는 관광 횟수를 늘려 보다 많은 사람들이 판소리 관광에 참여할 수 있는 기회를 부여하는 것과 일부 마니아층이 아닌 대중들의 참여를 유도해야 한다는 것을 지적하였다. 셋째, 문화관광 프로그램을 유료화하고 민간 관광업체의 참여를 통해 상품성을 높이고 대중화할 필요가 있다. 마지막으로는 판소리 유적지를 옛 모습 그대로 보존하되 관광 상품화할 수 있도록 다양한 콘텐츠를 마련해야 한다는 점과 장기적으로 판소리 유적지를 데이터베이스화하여 체계적으로 관리해야 한다는 점을 제안하였다.
문화는 지키고 보존하는 그 자체에 목적이 있는 것이 아니라 새로이 창조하는 것이다. 급속하게 세계화로 나아가는 미래 사회에서 문화적 정체성을 지녀야 세계의 중심으로 설 수 있다. 판소리 문화관광 프로그램은 흥미로운 체험을 통해 우리음악을 지식으로, 그리고 감상적으로 보급할 수 있는 유익한 사업이다. 판소리가 아름다운 우리 음악이자 세계의 무형문화유산이라는 자부심이 더 커지고 판소리 한 대목을 부를 수 있는 사람이 더 많아지는 것도 이와 같은 작은 사업에서부터 출발하는 것이라 믿는다.
