The present study was to construct a mind model for Korean people based on folk psychological perspective and Neo-Confucianism. Folk psychological approach focused on everyday language and activity of common people and the latter focused on Simhak(心學), esp. Toegye`s theory of mind, which is lain at the root of the Confucianism. Accordingly, the present authors tried to integrate above two approaches in term of model of modern people`s mind and historical and philosophical influence of the Confucianism on people`s mind. This approach indicated that people`s mind and philosophy of mind were reflected by cultural, historical and philosophical factors. Thus, the authors analyzed the social representations of mind of college students and depicted the structure of three dimensional components of mind. The structure of mind consisted of mind-controlling mind, i.e. agent mind, dispositional mind, and situational mind. The agent mind would control the agentivity of behavior, emotion, thinking, and even other mind. The second mind, dispositional mind, could be like trait and personality in psychology. The situational mind meant emotional and cognitive aspects of mind This kind of model for mind was based on the researcher‘s propositional suggestions and some empirical study such as the analysis of language and social representations. It is necessary to elaborate this model through more empirical studies. Consequently, naive people`s mind was constructed by everyday social interaction in terms of everyday language and common activity, and this mind was also inherited from Korean traditional philosophy such as Confucianism and Neo-Confucianism.
