장미切花 "Mar De Vor"와 카네이션切花 "Cherry Pink"의 壽命延長에 對한 SADH sucrose, aluminum sulfate, silver nitrate, Benomyl의 效果는 다음과 같다.
1. 장미에서 sucrose 및 aluminum sulfate, Benomyle 單獨處理效果가 거의 없었다.
2. 장미에서 sucrose 5%와 aluminum sulfate 300ppm의 混用處理가 가장 顯著한 壽命延長 效果가 있었다.
3. 카네이션에서 모든 處理가 壽命延長效果가 있었다. 特히 sucrose 3%와 silver nitrate 50ppm 混用處理 및 sucrose 3%와 aluminum sulfate 300ppm, Silver nitrate 50ppm, SADH 300ppm의 混用處理는 無處理區보다 2倍以上 壽命을 延長시켜 주었다.
4. sucrose에 依한 生體重의 增大 및 美觀狀 效果가 있었다.
5. 花色에 있어서도 特히 장미에서는 sucrose에 依해 밝은 色의 發現이 뚜렷하여지는 것이 特徵으로 發見되었다.
6. sucrose는 카네이션의 節門倒覆을 防止하는 데에도 매우 效果的이었다.

This experiment was carried out to study the effect of various preservative solutions using SADH, sucrose, aluminum sulfate, silver nitrate, Benomyl on extending longevity of 'Mar DeVor' cut roses(Rosa hybrida L.) and 'Cherry Pink' cut carnations(Dianthus caryophyllus L.).
The results are as follows.
1. The effect of a single treatment with sucrose and aluminum sulfate, Benomyl on extending longevity was not apparent in cut roses.
2. Longevity of cut roses was significantly extended mostly by mixed treatment with sucrose 5% and aluminum sulfate 300ppm.
3. Most preserving solutions were effective in extending vase life of cut carnations. The longevity of cut carnations in mixture, consisting of sucrose 3% and silver nitrate 50ppm, was extended double fold as compared to those of the control. Mixture of sucrose 3% and aluminum sulfate 300ppm, SADH 300ppm, silver nitrate 50ppm was equally effective.
4. Sucrose was effective in increasing fresh weight of cut roses and thus improved visual quality.
5. It was also found that cut roses in surcrose solution exhibited bright pinkish red color as compared to those of the control.
6. Sucrose was effective in minimizing internodal collapse in cut carnations.
