AI 디지털 시대와 디아스포라 한글문학의 방향

국문 초록 (Abstract)

세계화 시대를 맞이한 이후 가장 뚜렷한 문학 흐름이자 주목받는 경향 가운 데 하나는 디아스포라 문학이다. 이는 20세기적인 경계 해체, 사람과 노동과 자 본 등의 자유로운 이동, 통신과 인터넷의 고도화 등으로 요약되는 세계화된 지 구촌과 맞물려 있는 현상이기도 하다. 세계화의 영향은 디아스포라 문학 역시 특정 국가나 지역에 한정해서 나타나 는 것이 아닌 보편적이고 중요한 문학 흐름으로 자리 잡게 하고 있다. 이는 디 아스포라 한글/한인문학에서도 비슷하게 나타난다. 20세기 디아스포라 문학에 서 민족정체성이 고정된 상수였다면, 오늘날 해외 한인문학에서는 문화적 차이 와 적응 과정에서 빚어지는 다양성과 새로운 정체성 등이 강화되어 나타나고 있는 것이다. 19세기 후반부터 러시아, 중국, 일본, 미주를 비롯한 세계 여러 곳 으로 디아스포라를 겪었으며 이를 다양한 내용과 형식의 문학작품으로 형상화 해 온 디아스포라 한글/한인문학이 가진 탈경계성, 다양한 문화적 정체성 그리 고 혼종성은 새로운 전기를 맞게 될 것으로 예상되며 나아가 이것이 한국문학 에도 새로운 에너지가 될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. 여기에 최근 거스를 수 없는 현실이 된 전 지구적인 디지털화와 인터넷을 중 심으로 한 통신망의 고도화 그리고 여기서 한 발짝 더 나아간 AI(인공지능)의 급속한 확산과 무한한 가능성에 대한 기대는 지식과 정보의 혼성과 동일화를 이루어 낼 것이라는 점에서 경제, 사회, 문화 전반에 디지털혁명을 완성시킬 것 으로 보인다. 이는 문학 특히 디아스포라 문학에 커다란 변화와 발전 가능성을 가져올 것으로 보인다. 따라서 이 글에서는 디아스포라 한글/한인문학의 주요한 흐름과 특징을 정 리하고 디지털 시대의 디아스포라 한글/한인문학을 어떻게 준비하고 있는지를 살펴보았다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

One of the most distinct literary trends since the dawn of the globalization era is diaspora literature. This is a phenomenon bound up with the globalized world, which is characterized as the dissolution of borders in the 20th century, the free movement of people, labor, and capital, and the sophistication of telecommunications and the Internet. The influence of globalization has established diaspora literature as a universal and important literary flow, no longer confined to specific countries or regions. This is similar in diaspora Hangeul (Korean alphabet) and Korean literature. While ethnic identity was a fixed constant in the 20th-century diaspora literature, today’s overseas Korean literature is reinforcing cultural differences and new identities in the process of adaptation. Since the late 19th century, diaspora has been experienced in Russia, China, Japan, the Americas, and many other places around the world, and the transboundary, diverse cultural identities, and hybridity of diaspora Hangeul/Korean literature, which has been embodied as various contents and forms of literature, are expected to mark a new era, and this can be a new energy for Korean literature. Additionally, the global digitization that has become an irresistible reality in recent years, the sophistication of communication networks centered on the Internet, and the rapid spread of artificial intelligence(AI) and the expectation of infinite possibilities are expected to complete the digital revolution across the economy, society, and culture in that it will succeed in blending and equating knowledge and information. This is likely to bring great changes and developmental possibilities to literature, especially diaspora literature. Therefore, this article summarizes the main trends and characteristics of diaspora Hangeul/Korean literature and examines how diasporic Hangeul/Korean literature is being prepared for the digital age.
