This study is a study in which the Jeongseon ArirangMuseum, a publicmuseum, focuses on establishing a regional identity and strategies for revitalizing local culture in terms of museummanagement. In this paper, we would like to present the definition of a public museum, verify feasible alternatives, and suggest ways to revitalize local culture. The Arirang Museumshould provide more diverse opportunities and operate actively through the enjoyment of K-culture not only by local residents but also nationwide or globally. With the globalization of Arirang, the universal value of Arirang should be expanded, modern culture should be creatively sought, and Arirangs historical and tourisminfrastructure should be visualized as a representative cultural brand in Korea as a landmark of Korea. As a strategy for establishing the identity of Jeongseon and revitalizing local culture, first, the Jeongseon ArirangMuseum, a representative cultural asset of Jeongseon, is introduced. It is to introduce the history of Jeongseon Arirang, registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, and introduce various exhibitions through viewing and experiencing related archivalmaterials. Second, centering on the ArirangMuseum, tourismprograms in Jeongseon are developed to promote recommended tourist destinations. Third, by introducing local specialties and foods, we will promote the rich food of natural clean areas to tourists to highlight the image of the peoples hometown. In this study, the Jeongseon Arirang Museum proposes the transmission and direction of regional identity establishment and regional culture activation strategies, and seeks strategic plans.
