영유아중심교육 실천을 위한 핵심 개념과 교사의 역할 적용에 대한 실행 연구 = Action Research on the Application of Core Concept and Teacher’s Role to Practice Young Child-Centered Education

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 임환미, 윤선영(2022)의 영유아중심교육 실천을 위한 핵심 개념과 교사의 역할을 적용하는 과정에서교사들이 어떤 경험을 하는지 탐구하여 영유아중심교육을 실천하고자 하는 교사들이 참고할 수 있는 자료를제공하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 2022년 3월부터 8월까지 어린이집 교사 7명과 집단면담, 비참여관찰을 각10회씩 1주일 간격으로 교차 진행하며 실행연구를 하였다. 수집된 자료는 전사자료, 관찰일지, 교사와 연구자의저널, 기타자료이고, 이동성, 김영천(2014)의 귀납적 분석절차에 따라 분석한 뒤 결과를 도출하였다. 연구결과교사들은 ‘인식하기가 어색해요’, ‘관계형성이 어려워요’, ‘습관적으로 계획하려고 해요’, ‘모범이 부담스러워요’, ‘안내하는 방법이 어색해요’의 어려움을 경험하였지만, 핵심 개념과 교사의 역할을 명확하게 이해하고 해석하게되면서 ‘나와 아이들을 새롭게 인식하게 되었어요’, ‘마음까지 나누니 행복해요’, ‘흥미를 공감하니 아이들과 가까워지고 재미도 생겼어요’, ‘모범을 보이니 아이들과 놀이가 변했어요’, ‘나를 평가할 수 있었어요’, ‘예술적인 행위로 안내하니 자율성이 길러져요’라는 결과를 경험하며 영유아중심교육에 대한 방향성과 자신감을 갖고 능동적으로 실천하게 되었다. 마지막으로 연구과정에서 발견된 문제점을 바탕으로 또 다른 관점에서의 핵심 개념과교사의 역할 제공, 교사의 자기평가 지원, 교사교육 형태와 진행방식 및 내용 등을 제언하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purposes of this study is to provide reference materials for teachers who want to practice young child-centered education through exploring what teachers experience in the process of application of core concept and teacher’s role to practice young child-centered education reestablished by Im Hwan-mi and Yoon Sun-young(2022). For this, action research was conducted with seven teachers through focus group interview and non-participant observation.
Focus group interview and non-participant observation was done alternately at 1-week intervals at 10 times. The collected data are transcription data, observation journals, journals of teachers and researchers, and other data, and the results were derived after analyzing according to the inductive analysis procedure of Lee Dong-Sung & Kim Young-Chon(2014). As a result of the study, teachers experienced difficulties such as “Awkward to recognize”, “It's difficult to form a relationship”, “I try to plan habitually”, “It's burdensome to model”, and “Awkward to guide”.
However, as teachers clearly understood and interpreted the core concepts and teacher’s role, they experienced “New recognition of me and children”, “I'm happy to share my feelings”, “I sympathized with them, and I became fun”. In addition, teachers actively practiced young child-centered education with direction and confidence. Finally, based on the results of the study, key concepts and the teacher's role from another perspective and teacher self-assessment support, teacher education format, progress method, and contents were suggested.
