VDT증후군 예방을 위한 사무실 작업자들의 VDT 작업조사와 예방대책에 대한 연구 = A Study on the VDT Work Investigation and Preventive Counterplan of Office Workers for Preventing a VDT Syndrome

VDT(Visual Display Terminal) workers are increasing relatively according to moving from the manufacturing industry to service industry in industry structure owing to developing an info-communications. Office workers who sit work in front of the VDT for most of working time are exposed to the new risk of industrial accident occurrence such as musculoskeletal disorders, fatigue, visual disability caused the VDT work. Now work related musculoskeletal disorders(WMSDs) are issue in manufacturing industry such as shipbuilding and automobile and studies actively are in progress about it recently. While WMSDs related to the VDT work are approved of only special work, an example, a telephone operator, as industrial accident, systematic studies are short about it. It is expected for WMSDs related to the VDT work to increase rapidly because of spreading the superspeed internet and be a social problem in the future. Therefore, it is necessary to be prepared. In this study, a questionnaire about the status of the VDT work in office workers was implemented and results from that were used as a data to develop a VDT syndrome preventive program in the office work.
