공감 향상을 위한 전통 연희의 교육적 활용 : 남사당놀이 중 ‘덜미’를 중심으로 = Educational Application of Traditional Music for Enhancing Empathy: With a focus on “Deolmi” in Namsadang Nori

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 전통 연희 ‘덜미’ 인형극을 활용하여 청소년들의 공감 능력을 증진할 수 있는 국악 교육 프로그램을 개발하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 청소년기 공감 능력의 저하는 타인과 원활한 소통을 방해하고 대인관계 및 사회 적응에 부정적인 영향을 미친다. 이는 현대사회에 중요한 문제로 대두되고 있으며, 이러한 상황에서 예술이 인간의 공감 능력과 밀접한 관계가 있다는 여러 학자들의 연구가 이뤄지고 있다. 이러한 연구들은 전통 예술을 교육적 도구로 활용하는 것은 공감 향상에 있어서 유의미한 영향을 미칠 수 있다는 가능성을 제시한다.
본 연구에서는 공감 이론을 바탕으로‘덜미’ 인형극의 교육적 가치를 분석하고, 청소년을 대상으로 한 공감 향상 국악 프로그램을 설계하였다. 연구는 효과 검증보다는 프로그램의 적용 과정과 그 결과물을 제시하는 데 중점을 두었다.
이 연구는 ‘덜미’ 인형극이 가진 공감 능력 향상 효과를 중심으로 교육적 활용 방안을 제안하며, 이를 통해 전통 예술을 현대 인성 교육에 연계할 수 있는 가능성을 모색하였다.

The purpose of this study is to develop a Gukak education program that can promote the empathic ability of adolescents with a "Deolmi" puppet show played as part of the traditional theatricals. When empathic ability declines in adolescence, it hinders adolescents' smooth communication with others and has a negative impact on their interpersonal relationships and social adjustment. This is emerging as an important issue in today's modern society. In this situation, many scholars are conducting research to demonstrate close connections between art and the empathic ability of human beings. These studies propose a possibility that they can have significant effects on enhancing empathy by utilizing traditional art as an educational instrument. The present study analyzed the educational values of a "Deolmi" puppet show based on empathy theories and designed a Gukak program to enhance adolescents' empathy. The focus was on presenting the program's application process and its outcomes rather than testing its effects.
The study proposed an educational application plan for a "Deolmi" puppet show based on its effects on enhancing empathic ability, thus exploring the possibility of connecting traditional art to modern personality education.
