Objectives:The aim of this study was to develop the Korean Version of the Checklist from Co-Dependents anonymous.
Methods:The Korean version of the Checklist from CoDependents anonymous was administered to 211 non-alcoholic families and 41 alcoholic families. The authors tested the reliability of this scale with Cronbach’s alpha and construct validity with factor analysis. Results:In the reliability test, Cronbach’s α coefficient was 0.92 and factor analysis provided evidence for the construct validity. The mean values of co-dependence scores were significantly high in alcoholic family group than those in non-alcoholic family group. We provided T score norms and the sensitivity, specificity, and efficiency table according to various cutting scores, which may be useful to determine the optimal cutting point on various purposes. Conclusion:The authors found Checklist from Co-Dependents anonymous-Korean version retained available psychometric properties. For the purpose of screening codependents in alcoholic family, we determined optimal cutting point as 64.
