THE original letter is in the possession of Miss Conway Griffith of Carreglwyd, who has kindly placed it at the service of the Association. The date of the year is not given, but it was evidently written two days after the coronation of Charles I, which took place 5 Feb. 1626. The Bishop of Bangor, Lewis Bayly, the writer, arrived in London on the last day of January, but has unfortunately omitted to state now long he was on the road.
