1. CONTENTS
(1) RESEARCH OBJECTIVES
This study is aimed to Bet implications for reorganizing urban improvement laws of Korea.
(2) RESEARCH METHOD
For that purpose, this study reviewed the legal system and the contents of domestic and foreign urban improvement laws.
(3) RESEARCH FINDINGS
The laws about urban improvement have complex system and change quickly. At this point it is important to understand their introduction background and transition process, because it help us understand present city shape and forecast furture direction of urban improvement.
2. RESULTS
In the results, this study propose that: (1) Public sector should take the lead in the regeneration projects for blighted dwelling area, (2) rehabilitaion method should be actively applied for residents’ participation, communities consolidation, and comprehensive development, (3) regeneration projects for blighted dwelling area should be operated in a single legal system and be divided from downtown regeneration project.
