Abstract
Rapid advancements in technology and changes in cost have made the "Mobile Phone" industry a profitable business. Recently“Wireless Phones“ based on Mobile Broadband Wireless Access technology(MBWA) have been introduced into the marketplace. They are superior to current traditional phones in terms of transmission, speed, price and function to older ones that have limited functionalities. Since MBWA technologies, such as High Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA), Wireless Broadband (WiBro), and Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access (WiMAX) have been developed, customers can enjoy “Mobile Phone”services whenever and wherever they like. So the present study has analyzed the factors that influence potential users’adoption-intention of WiBro-Mobile Phones”by using Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). Most previous “Wireless and Mobile Phones” related studies lack a comprehensive approach to both technological and psychological aspects of WiBro Mobile Phone”adoption and do not reflect a variety of consumer preferences. As a result TAM has been extended here by including some variables, and measured its reliability on WiBro-Mobile Phone adoption by its users. Overall, the results revealed that the effect of Users’ Traits such as “Variety Seeking" and “Sensation Seeking”have great impacts on Users’Motive such as Perceived Usefulness, Perceived Ease of Use, Perceived Enjoyment and Perceived Value that consequently influence an individual's intention to use WiBro-Mobile Phone. In addition, it is also found that the traits of“Perceived Ease of Use”- wherever and whenever of WiBro-Wireless Phone service also affects the intention of adoption of WiBro-Mobile Phone users. This research study is useful for professionals, researchers and companies who are interested in WiBro-Mobile Phone services.
