부신의 원발성 평활근육종의 영상 소견: 증례 보고 = Imaging Findings of Primary Adrenal Leiomyosarcoma: A Case Report

Leiomyosarcoma is a malignant tumor that typically originates from either the uterus or the retroperitoneum. Furthermore, primary adrenal leiomyosarcoma is an extremely rare condition.
Owing to its radiological non-specificity, differentiating leiomyosarcoma from other tumor types in the adrenal gland is difficult. We report the imaging findings of a primary adrenal leiomyosarcoma in a patient who presented with left upper quadrant abdominal pain, which increased by more than 1 cm in diameter in two years. Primary adrenal leiomyosarcoma was diagnosed considering the subsequent surgical and histopathologic findings.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

평활근육종은 주로 자궁근육층, 후복막강에서 발생하는 악성질환으로 일차성으로 부신에서발생하는 경우는 매우 드물다. 영상 소견이 비특이적이므로 부신에서 보일 수 있는 여러 종양과의 감별이 어렵다. 저자들은 좌상복부 통증을 주소로 촬영한 CT 상 좌측 부신 종괴가 발견되고, 2년 동안 1 cm 이상 크기가 증가하여 부신절제술을 받은 후 병리조직검사에서 평활근육종으로 진단된 증례를 영상 소견을 중심으로 보고하고자 한다.
