      Nowadays, nevertheless three terms, profession, professional, and professionalism are widely used as everyday languages, the definitions of the terms are still full of ambiguousness and variousness. The aim of the current study is to explore how Korean kindergarten teachers define those three interrelated terms. Using in-depth interviewing method upon interpretive phenomenology, the voices of six Korean kindergarten teachers from both individual interviews and a focus group interview were analyzed. During the interviews, the teachers were asked whether a kindergarten teaching job was a profession or not and whether kindergarten teachers were professionals. Based on the teachers’ accounts, the findings indicated that the three terms overlapped and interrelated.
