SF에 나타난 이방인 정체성과 장소감의 문학교육적 의미 = A Study on the Meaning of Literature Education of Stranger's Identity and Sense of Place in SF

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 SF에 등장하는 이방인 인물이 낯선 세계에서 체득하는 이방인 정체성과 장소감의 문제를 살펴보고, 이를 바탕으로 SF에 나타난 이방인 서사의 문학교육적 의미를 탐색하는 데 목적을 두었다. SF에 나타난 이방인 서사를 통해 SF가 현실의 이방인 문제를 어떻게 문학적으로 재현하는지를 확인하고, SF 이방인 서사의 문학교육적 의미를 탐색하였다. 이방인이 익숙한 세계에서 낯선 세계로 이동하여 마주하는 타자의 응시는 두 세계의 경계를 드러냄으로써 이방인이 이방인 정체성을 갖게 하는 원인이 된다. SF 이방인 서사는 현실의 이방인 문제를 분명하게 환기하면서도 현대 사회의 구체적인 사건이나 특정 현상을 직접적으로 조명하지는 않는다. 그러므로 독자는 SF 이방인 서사를 읽으면서 누구나 언제든지 이방인이 될 수 있다는 이방인-되기의 역설을 확인하고, 이방인 또는 이방인을 마주하는 사람으로서 어떻게 타자를 대해야 하는지의 문제에만 집중하여 사유할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 두 편의 SF 작품을 분석한 내용을 토대로 SF 이방인 서사의 문학교육적 의미를 정리하고, 구체적인 방법론을 마련하고자 교육의 시안을 제시하였다.

This study aimed to examine the problem of identity and sense of place that stranger characters in SF acquire in an unfamiliar world and to explore the literary and educational meaning of stranger narratives in SF based on this. Through the stranger narratives in SF, we identified how SF reproduces the real-life stranger problem literarily and explored the literary educational meaning of SF stranger narratives. The gaze of the other, who moves from a familiar to an unfamiliar world, reveals the boundaries of the two worlds, causing the object of the gaze to have a stranger's identity. The SF stranger narrative reminds us of the real-life stranger problem but does not directly address specific events or specific phenomena in modern society. Therefore, while reading the SF stranger narratives, the reader can confirm the paradox of becoming a stranger-being that anyone can become a stranger at any time and focus only on the question of how to treat the other. Based on the analysis of two SF literary works, this study summarizes the literary educational meaning of the science fiction stranger narrative and presents a proposal for educational methods to prepare a specific methodology.
