This study analyzes the purchase-behavior and the satisfaction of cosmeceuticals in female undergraduates. Thus, the more customer's desire satisfies and a continuous developmental plan for cosmeceuticals suggests through securing potential customers. And the aim is to utilize it basic data of effective marketing through grasp the purchase-behavior and the satisfaction of cosmeceuticals by analyzing female undergraduate's lifestyle.
This study aims to examine the purchase-behavior and the satisfaction of cosmeceuticals in female undergraduates, and selected female undergraduates of C university, S university, Y university and C college in Seoul, K college in Incheon and H university in Gyeonggi-do. As for data collection on the survey subjects collected over 3 weeks from March 14, 2011 to April 7. The totally-collected data was 500 copies and 477 copies were used in empirical analysis except 23 copies that were prepared insincerely among them.
The collected data in this study was analyzed by using SPSS(Statistical Package for the Social Science) WIN 18.0 program. As for analytical technique, the frequency and percentage were calculated in order to grasp research subject's general characteristics. To examine the purchasing behavior, the troubles after use of comeceuticals analyzed frequency analysis, descriptive statistics, χ2(Chi-square) test. And, to examine the satisfaction of cosmeceuticals analyzed frequency analysis, descriptive statistics, t-test, One-Way ANOVA and Tukey HSD test.
The main results of this study are as follows.
First, the majority of female undergraduates were used a cosmeceuticals and they were used to solve a skin's problem. They were started to use according to own need and bought carefully through considered for own's skin type. Also, they were used of domestic brands and purchased the highest frequency at cosmetics shops.
Second, as a result of examining the purchasing cost of cosmeceutical in female undergraduates, they were paid between 20,000won to 30,000won per cosmeceutical of whitening, between 30,000won to 50,000won per cosmeceutical of wrinkle-improving and between 20,000won to 30,000won per cosmeceutical of sunscreen. And they recognized that the appropriate price of cosmeceuticals is between 20,000won to 30,000won per cosmeceutical of whitening, between 20,000won to 30,000won per cosmeceutical of wrinkle-improving and between 10,000won to 20,000won per cosmeceutical of sunscreen. There was a little difference. In addition, they recognized that the price of cosmeceutical doesn’t seem to lead to effect of cosmeceutical.
Third, female undergraduates read scantily instructions prior to using. The average they were used 3〜4 months of comeceutical and most frequently used sunscreen cosmeceutical and then used whitening cosmeceutical and wrinkle-improving cosmeceutical.
Fourth, as a result of examining the satisfactions of cosmeceutical in female undergraduates, the whitening cosmeceutical and the wrinkle-improving cosmeceutical was normal satisfaction and the sunscreen cosmeceutical and the complex cosmeceutical was slightly higher satisfaction. And, they recognized most urgent improvement of cosmeceuticals was a scientifically provable effective, lower price and then different feelings by using product of the following age. These results showed that they expected good effect and demands confidence of cosmeceuticals.
Fifth, the majority of female undergraduates didn't have any skin troubles experience after using cosmeceuticals. Among the female undergraduates had skin troubles experience, they occurs most pustular acne and leave as it is. These results showed that they recognized get better skin troblems if they didn't using it.
