The article discusses the marking function of additional symbols used in the Mong e yu hay through several sections. Especially in response to the lack of in-depth and one-sided analysis of additional symbols in previous research, a new argument has been made based on the phonetic, glyph, and spelling rules of Mongolian entries in Manchu dictionaries. The Mongolian language entries and commentaries included in Manchu dictionaries have their own charac-teristics. By analyzing and describing the function of additional symbols in the Mong e yu hay, it can be found that some Mongolian language features of the “Qingwen Jian” series of dictionaries have been inherited in the Mong e yu hay. For example, the Korean notation of some words is closer to the Manchu pronunciation of the word, rather than simply transcribing it from written language; There are also some words whose writing forms (differentiation of homophones and heteromorphic characters) are different from modern Mongolian script, but consistent with the writing methods in a specific Manchu dictionary. It is not ruled out that reference and inspiration may be made to their Mongolian script forms and spelling methods.
