서정주 『화사집』에 나타난 체험과 창작의 상관관계 - 중앙불전 재학 및 해인사 체류 시절을 중심으로

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 글은 서정주의 첫 시집 『화사집』(1941) 출간 80주년을 기념하기 위해 기획되었다. 24편의 수록작품과 시인의 자기체험의 관련성을 추적하는 연구이다. 삶과 시의 연대기가 어떻게 조응하고 발전해 나가는지를 살펴봄으로써 『화사집』이 체험과 창작의 긴밀한 관련성을 입증하는 선례임을 밝히고자 한다. 이 과정에 참조할 만한 자료가 그의 산문들이다.
중앙불교전문학교 재학 시절(1935)과 해인사 체류 시절(1936)의 체험이 논의의 주요 대상이 된다. 〈벽〉, 〈문둥이〉, 〈화사〉, 〈대낮〉, 〈입맞춤〉, 〈맥하麥夏〉 등이 이 시기의 체험과 관련된 작품들이며 관련 자료들이 그의 산문 속에 풍성하다. 일련의 연구를 통해서 서정주 문학의 형상화 과정이 감동을 동반한 체험을 중심으로 이루어지고 이런 창작 태도가 평생의 창작방법론으로 발전한다는 점에 주목하고자 했다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study was designed to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the publication of Seo Jeong-ju’s first collection of poems, 『Hwasajip』(1941). This is a study that traces the relationship between the 24 works included in the collection of poems and the poet’s self-experience. This study aims to reveal how 『Hwasajip(花蛇集)』 is a precedent that proves the close relationship between experience and creation by looking at how the chronology of life and poetry co-ordinates and develops. His prose is the source of reference for this study process. It is important to understand that the enthusiasm, pathological intoxication, and poetic wandering of 『Hwasajip(花蛇集)』 appear similarly in his prose of the same period, and all this literacy is a reflection of experience.
The main subject of discussion is the experience of the period when the poet attended the Central Buddhist College and the period he stayed at Haeinsa Temple. They include 〈Wall〉, 〈A leper〉, 〈Flower snake〉, 〈Broadday〉, 〈Kiss〉, and 〈A Summer barley 麥夏〉. These poems are deeply related to the poet’s experience, and related contents are abundant in his prose. Through such a series of research processes, this study aims to note that the process of shaping Seo Jeong-ju’s literature is centered on his own experience that felt a great impression, and that this creative attitude develops into the poet’s lifelong aesthetic methodology.
