대학 강의평가 운영에 대한 교수 인식 분석 = A study on the professors’ perception of the course evaluation : focusing on A university

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구는 대학교육의 질 관리 체제로서 운영되는 강의평가 실태와 개선방안에 대한 교수들의 인식을 조사하기 위한 목적으로 이루어졌다. 이를 위해 충북 소재 A대학교 교수들을 대상으로 강의평가 실태와 강의평가에 영향을 주는 요인, 강의평가문항의 적절성, 강의평가(운영 및 결과활용) 개선방안에 대한 인식을 조사하였다. 설문에 응답한 A대학 126명 교수의 설문지에 대해 빈도와 백분율 등 통계분석을 바탕으로 한 본 연구의 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 강의평가결과에 대해 관심을 가지고 확인한다는 인식이 가장 높게 나타났으나 강의평가 방법의 타당성과 강의평가의 신뢰성에 대해서는 낮게 인식하고 있었다. 둘째, 교과목에 대한 흥미, 강좌 난이도, 교수의 열정 요인 순으로 강의평가 결과에 영향을 미치는 것으로 인식하였다. 셋째, 강의평가 문항 가운데 상호작용 및 수업참여, 수업방법 및 매체, 교재 및 학습자료 등 주로 방법적인 측면의 문항을 보다 적절하다고 인식하였고 수업을 통해 향상된 역량 정도, 학습내용과 분량, 평가방법의 적절성 문항에 대해서는 상대적으로 부정적인 인식을 보였다. 넷째, 강의평가 개선방안과 관련하여, 강의평가 참여자로 학생이 가장 많았고 그 다음으로 교수 자신을 포함해야 한다는 의견이 많았다. 기말 강의평가 1회 실시, PC 및 모바일 접속을 통한 온라인 강의 평가 방법에 대한 선호가 높았으며, 강의의 질 제고에 초점을 둔 강의평가, 담당 교과목 교수에게만 평가결과 공개, 강의평가 결과가 낮은 교원에게 교수법 연수 실시의 의견이 제시되었다. 이 연구는 강의평가의 주요 이해 당사자인 교수의 인식을 조사, 분석함으로써 강의평가 개선을 위한 기초 자료를 제공하였다는 점에서 연구의 의의가 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to analyze the professor’s perception on current state and improvement of course evaluation for educational quality management. For this purpose, the professors in A university in Chung-buk province were surveyed to identify their perception of the current state, the relevance of questionnaires and the improvement of course evaluation. A total of 126 professors from A University were asked questionnaire of perception on course evaluation. The data were analyzed by frequency and percentage. The results of analysis were as follows. First, professors interested in and checked the results of course evaluation, but their preception of validity of evaluation method and reliability of course evaluation result were low. Second, students’ interest in a course was the most influential factor to make course evaluation, and difficulty of a course, professor’s passion were influential factors in order on course evaluation. Third, among the course evaluation questions, facilitating interaction and engagement during the class, instructional method and media, text book and teaching material were relevant questions, however, the questions about the development of competency through the course, the composition and quantity of the course content, evaluation method in a course were perceived as irrelevant. In addition, the differentiation of questionnaire depending on the lecture type was preferred. Fourth, more than half of the professors regarded student as the most appropriate course evaluation, and the next was professor himself. Implementing course evaluation once per semester, complementary mobile evaluation method, Focusing on the quality improvement, undisclosed evaluation result except oneself, were preferred to improve course evaluation. The significance of this study is to provide the basic data for improvement of course evaluation by analyze the perception of professor, important stakeholder of course evaluation.
