자살사고 예방교육이 군인의 자살예방 시스템 활용에 미치는 영향 분석

국문 초록 (Abstract)

우리나라는 분단국가라는 특수성으로 인해서 20대의 남자라면 누구나 군에 입대해서 군 복무를 하는 것이 의무로 정해져있다. 또한 의무로 복무하는 용사가 아니더라도 군에 간부로서 군 복무를 하고 있는 인원들을 포함하면 60만여명에 가까운 수가 군에서 복무를 하고 있다. 하지만 우리 군 안에서는 수 많은 사고가 발생하면서 많은 사람들이 목숨을 잃는 경우가 발생하고 있다. 그 중에서도 군 장병의 자살은 총 사망자 중 68%에 달하는 비율을 차지하고 있다. 2015년부터 2020년까지 군 사망사고 현황을 확인하였을 때 전체 사망자 952명 중 차량사고, 익사, 폭발 등 안전사고로 인한 사망자는 270명이나 자살로 인한 사망자는 682명으로 약 68%에 해당하는 사망자를 차지하고 있다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 이러한 자살사고를 방지하기 위해서 군에서는 자살사고 예방 프로그램을 도입해 자살사고의 수를 감소하기 위한 노력을 지속하고 있다. 자살사고 예방 프로그램은 군 간부 또는 전문 강사에 의한 자살사고 예방 교육, 간부 또는 병영전문 상담관에 의한 상담관 제도, 그린캠프, 현역복무부적합 심의, 정신건강센터 운영 등 자살예방 시스템으로 나뉘어서 운영되고 있다. 본 연구자는 이러한 자살사고 예방 프로그램이 긍정적인 방향으로 운영되고 있는지를 확인하기 위해서 선행연구와 미 공군 자살사고 예방 프로그램과 비교하여 분석을 실시하였으며 이를 토대로 심층인터뷰를 진행한 결과 자살사고 예방 프로그램에 미치는 영향을 분석하기 위해 자살사고 예방 프로그램에 영향을 미치는 요인으로 교육 실효성, 교육 인식, 교육 참여도, 간부 실효성, 상담관 실효성, 상담 인지도, 시스템 실효성, 시스템 인지도를 선정하였다. 또한 각 요인 간의 매개효과를 확인하기 위해 매개 변수를 조정하여 각 요인들 간의 상관관계를 분석하였다. 그 결과 자살사고 예방 교육을 통해서 상담 및 상담관 제도에 미치는 영향과 자살예방 시스템에 미치는 영향을 확인할 수 있었고 특히, 자살사고 예방 교육에 대해서 인식하고 있는 것이 자살사고 예방교육의 실효성을 높이는 것보다 더 긍정적인 효과를 발휘한다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 따라서 자살예방 시스템의 긍정적인 효과를 위해서는 자살사고 예방 교육에 대한 홍보가 더 중요하게 작용되어야 한다.

Due to the peculiarity of our country as a divided country, it is compulsory for all men in their 20s to enlist and serve in the military. In addition, even if they are not compulsory warriors, if you include those who are serving as officers in the military, close to 600,000 are serving in the military. However, in our military, many accidents occur and many people lose their lives. Among them, suicide by military personnel accounts for 68% of the total deaths. When the status of military fatalities from 2015 to 2020 was confirmed, 270 of the 952 deaths were due to safety accidents such as vehicle accidents, drowning, and explosions, but 682 deaths were due to suicide, accounting for about 68% of the deaths. It could be confirmed that occupied To prevent such suicides, the military has introduced a suicide prevention program to reduce the number of suicides. The suicide prevention program is divided into suicide prevention systems such as suicide prevention education by military officers or professional instructors, counselor system by officers or barracks professional counselors, green camp, deliberation of inappropriateness for active duty service, and operation of a mental health center. In order to check whether these suicide prevention programs are being operated in a positive direction, this researcher conducted an analysis compared to previous studies and the US Air Force suicide prevention program. Based on this, an in-depth interview was conducted. To analyze the impact, educational effectiveness, education awareness, education participation, executive effectiveness, counselor effectiveness, counseling awareness, system effectiveness, and system awareness were selected as factors affecting the suicide accident prevention program. Also, in order to check the mediating effect between each factor, the correlation between each factor was analyzed by adjusting the parameters. As a result, it was possible to confirm the effect on the counseling and counselor system and the suicide prevention system through suicide prevention education. It was confirmed that the phosphorus effect was exerted. Therefore, for the positive effect of the suicide prevention system, publicity on suicide prevention education should be more important.
