영유아수학교육 연구동향 분석 = An Analysis of Research Trends in Early Childhood Mathematics Education

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 학술지를 중심으로 2007년부터 2014년까지의 영유아수학교육에 대한 연구동향을 탐색하여 수학교육관련 기초자료를 제공하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 관련 학술지 논문 160편을 분석하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 연도별 동향은 2012년도에 가장 많은 연구가 이루어졌으며 전반적으로 지속적인 연구발표가 이루어졌다. 둘째, 연구대상별 동향은 영유아, 교사, 문헌, 부모대상 연구 순으로 나타났다. 셋째, 연구내용별 동향을 살펴보면, 연구주제에서는 수학교육의 지식 기술 태도의 발달이, 교육목적에서는 영유아의 경우 수학능력을 연구한 경우가 많았고, 교사의 경우는 지식 기술 태도 모두를 고르게 연구하였다.
교수학습방법에서는 다른 교과 간 통합연구가 가장 많았다. 넷째, 연구유형별 동향은 양적연구가 많았으며, 검사법을 활용한 차이검증 연구가 많은 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 시사점은 영아기와 유아기 수학교육의 동향을 통합적으로 살펴보았다는 점, 연구대상과 연구방법의 편중된 점을 제시함으로써 균형적 영유아수학교육 연구의 기초자료를 제공하였다는 점이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to examine research trends in academic journal articles on early childhood mathematics education between 2007 and 2014 in an effort to provide related information.
160 academic journal articles were analyzed, and the following findings were given: First, as for a research trend by year, the largest number of the articles were published in 2012. In general, there was a consistent publication of studies in this field. Second, concerning a research trend in subjects, infants and preschoolers were the most dominant subjects, followed by teachers, literature and parents. Third, as to a research trend in content, the most common research theme was the development of knowledge, skills and attitude in mathematics education, and the most common purpose was to examine the mathematical skills of infants and preschoolers. In regard to teaching and learning methods, integration of mathematics with other subjects was most widely investigated. Fourth, in relation to a research trend in the type of research, quantitative research, especially verification of difference by test methods, was most prevailing.
This study is of significance in that it found particular subjects and specific methods were excessively selected in these studies by investigating the research trends in infant and early childhood mathematics education in an integrated way in order to lay the foundation for research into balanced infant and early childhood mathematics education.
