Recently, bulletproof helmets are demanding combat helmets that integrate not only protection against trajectory, fragments, explosions, fire and noise but also a single soldier's night-visions, signal equipment, monitoring device into a single system. Especially, special force's helmets depend on imports, and Koreans head size are not considered at all. This study provides a standard for Korean soldiers ' heads. Furthermore, it proposes a bulletproof helmet design that improves protection performance, durability, convenience and combat capability to fit the military's mission.
First, we felt the performance of the bulletproof helmets and the acknowledge of the head size changes, and analyzed the size of the head. Second, we analyzed domestic and international helmets and identified design elements for new helmets. Third, we review the Korean head measurement data to set up an ideal helmet size and create a bulletproof helmet designed. Fourth, we designed ergonomic helmets and designed to expand various personal equipment. Based on the above research, we proposed the development of ergonomic helmets designed for the head of the new generation.
