소갈치옹탕으로 치료된 당뇨병성 족부병변의 치험 1례 = A Clinical Report about the Effects of Sogalchiong-tang on Diabetic Foot Lesion

Diabetic foot lesion is an important chronic application of Diabetes mellitus, it occurs foot ulceration and necrosis and it is a major cause of lower-extremity amputations. The causes of diabetic foot lesion are considered as decrease of blood flow of foot by vascular disease, injury of foot and chronic edema by diabetic neuropathy, infection and malformation of foot. In the western medicine, the treatments of this disease are using antibiotics and control of hyperglycemia. if ulceration of foot is developed, it will need amputation of foot. I treated a patient with Sogalchiong-tang, who had controled blood sugar for 25 years and visited our hospital with a developed ulcer on the second toe of right foot that had occured 6 months ago. So I report this case with the study of literature.
