건강한 군 조직 형성을 위한 집단 통합적 문학치료 프로그램 설계 = Design of A Group Integrative Literature Therapy Program to Establish A Healthy Military Structure

국문 초록 (Abstract)

국가 안보를 책임지고 있는 군조직의 건재는 상당히 중요한 관심사다. 이를 위해서는 그 구성원인 장병들이 심신의 안녕과 만족감을 바탕으로 안정적으로 업무를 수행할 수 있는 상태에 있어야 한다는 것은 의문의 여지가 없다. 그럼에도 불구하고 여러 조사와 연구결과들이 우리 군 내 다수의 장병이 심신이 힘든 상태이고 이로 인해 직업 만족도도 떨어져 있다는 것을 말해주고 있다. 이에 긍정적 심리 기제인 탄력성을 향상시켜 심신의 안녕과 직업뿐만 아니라 삶의 만족도를 높여 그 구성원인 장병들이 건강하도록 만들어 그들이 운영하는 군 조직을 안정적으로 유지할 수 있기를 바라면서, 그 목적을 달성할 수 있는 매개체로서 집단 통합적 문학치료 프로그램을 제안하고자 한다.
언어 이외에도 창의적 매체와 예술방법을 적절하게 적용하는 예술치료 활동은 마음을 치유하고 인간성을 개발하고 윤택하게 만들어 개인의 성장, 발달을 돕는데 유용하다. 이를 바탕으로 치유와 교육의 목적을 달성하기 위해 점진적으로 4단계(현재/과거의 자아와 환경 탐색 → 감정인식 및 내면의 외현화 → 건강한 자기표현 및 소통 → 현실 적응 및 비전 설계)를 실시하는 집단 통합적 문학치료 프로그램을 설계하였고, 군 장병들과 여러 동질적 특성을 가지고 있는 남자 청소년 중장기 쉼터의 거주 청소년들을 대상으로 실시하여 의미 있는 결과를 얻었다.
그 결과를 보면 집단 통합적 문학치료 프로그램이 참여자들에게 탄력성의 세 가지 요소(긍정성, 자기조절능력, 대인관계능력) 모두를 향상 시키는 것을 알 수가 있었고, 이 결과는 연구 대상자들과 유사 연령대, 동성, 유사한 사회문화적 배경, 속해있는 조직 공동체의 유사한 특성 등 여러 유사성을 가진 군 장병들에게 적용했을 때에도 유사한 효과를 거둘 수 있을 것이라 예측할 수 있다.
그리고 본 연구에서 제시된 집단 통합적 문학치료 프로그램은 치유와 교육의 목적을 동시에 달성할 수 있도록 설계되어 있기에, 부적응 장병을 대상으로 한 치유적 목적뿐만 아니라 자아 성장과 발달을 위해서, 그리고 사고 방지를 위한 예방적 차원에서 일반 장병들에게도 충분히 적용할 수 있을 것이라 생각된다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

In times of uncertainty such as the current security situation around the Korean peninsula, it is inevitable that people`s psychological dependence on the military and their wish to trust it will increase. Therefore, it is of a great concern to the people whether the military is in good condition to bear the duty of national security. Without doubt, in order to maintain such status, the soldiers must be in a state of mental well-being and satisfaction so that they can proceed their mission in a steady fashion. Nonetheless, multiple studies and research show that the South Korean soldiers are at a state of exhaustion, both physical and mental, and consequently have low career satisfaction. This paper proposes a group integrative literature therapy program to keep military strong by enhancing the positive psychological trait of resilience; in the hope that the soldiers may find a state of mental well-being and satisfaction of not only their career, but also their life.
Other than language, arts therapy including creative media and creative arts help people heal their hearts and build their humanity, being a useful tool for individual growth and development. Based on this, I have designed the group integrative literature therapy which gradually takes 4 steps (Search of Present/Past Ego and Environment → Recognition of Emotions and Externalization of the Inside → Healthy Expression of Self and Communication → Adaptation to Reality and Planning for Future). Application of the therapy to male youths residing at care facility, whom with resemblance to soldiers, have shown meaningful results.
The results show that the group integrative literature therapy have brought improvements in all three elements of resilience (positive attitude, self-restraint, forming relationship). The therapy in prospect will likely produce similar results when applied to soldiers with similar traits, including age spectrum, sex, cultural background, characteristic of the community belongs to, and etc.
The group literature therapy program proposed in this research is designed to achieve both treatment and educational purposes simultaneously. Thus, it is thought to be good for not only treatment purpose for the soldiers with assimilation problems, but also individual growth and development of normal soldiers as well as a precautionary method for possible accidents.
