The skin prick test and RAST were uaed commoly in demonstrating the presence of skin sensitizing IgE antibody in the diagnosis of allergic disease. The correlation between skin prick test and RAST was studied by using two different analytic criteriae of skin prick test, according to the size of wheal and erythema and the ratio of allergen and histamine reaction(A/ H ratio), about 15 inhalant allergens such as house dust, D. pteronyssinus, D. farinae, cat, dog, wormwood, ragweed, cocksfoot, Bermuda grass, timothy, alder, oak, alternaria, penicillium, and cockroach (Bencard, G. B.). The following results were obtained; 1) The positive rate of house duat on skin prick test was highest with 76.6%, D. farinae, and D. pte- ronyssinus in order. 2) RAST positive rate of positive skin prick test was 56.0% in cockroach, 52.9% in D. farinae, and 52.6% in oak. 3) There was no atatistic difference of RAST positive rate between two different analytic criteriae of skin prick test for 15 common inhalant aUergens. 4) In D. farinae, house duat, and weed pollen the A / H ratio was a little more predictable to the result of RAST.
