Nobongseowon which is the remams of Sak-nyeong Choi families established in the process of the their family development had great fame and effect in the community when it was built in 1649. In 1697, it was provided Saaek(賜額), Offering goods needed for ancestral rites in spring and fall, and special exemption 3, Confucian scholar 20, Bono 20, Jeopin 40. When it was first built, Nobongseowon was used to worship Hong sun-bok, Choe sangjung and Oh jeong gil who are Joobyeok and it added Choe-on in 1661 and Choe hwi-ji in 1694. Especially, the Choe-on and Choe hwi-ji were the people who played a pivotal role of the establishment and management of the seowon. Looking at the 「Jangyian」 of the Nobong seowon, the people who had been director, Jangyui had a close relationship with the families of Sak-nyeong Choi and most of them are from the families of leading Sajok in Namwon. 「Sirnwonrok」 is the recording written by visitors of seowon and it was recognized as the `Cheonggeumrok` of Confucian scholar-list at the moment. In the case of Nobongs eowon, it has been visited by 1258 visitors for 222 years and Sak-nyeong Choi, Jeon-ju Lee, Narn-won Yang, Hae-ju Oh, and jin-ju So are the visiting orders from the largest. The best number of visitors was the era of suk-jong which had a lot of changes of government and the time when the seowon was being developed and sa-aek. Most of the possession and item have the documents of the requests for exemption of odd jobs about Jeopin. Most of the messenger, Go-mok, Seo-mok have the requesting documents for cooperation, which are the documents of the distributing for ancestral rites of Nobong seowon and securement of lumber needed for rebuilding of the seowon. Wanmun is the document of permission from leader of Namwon to Nobong seowon for the odd-jobs exemption of member. Most of the ancient documents related to Nobongseowon have contents about Role obligations·rebuilding·providing Offering goods . right rule and easily examined throughout the management of seowon. Most of them were written around 19 century, the contents are mostly about the economic profit of seowon like odd-jobs exemption. After the 17- 18 century, seowon`s were followed by various evils so Nobong seowon was finally removed by order of government. Concrete details about the removal was found in 「No-bong dapgojipmulbungeo rok」, 「No-bong tojaejipmulbunjip wanyak-mun」 and it said that their property and house were distributed to Sak-nyeong Choi and Hae-ju Oh families in the proportion of three to one. Nobong seowon was the sa-aek seowon which practically has the central operating body by the Sak-nyeong Choi family and strong Sajok of Namwon who are executive of seowonplayed the key role of lecture hall or popular opinion of region by participating in management of seowon.
