Previous studies of mask packs have focused on the carrying and release behavior of functional materials to be delivered. Recently, functional mask pack researches have been studied to emphasize the convenience of users and the new fiber polymer materials. Particularly, the 4D mask pack products have been developed by improving facial adhesion by incorporating techniques such as incision, hook and slip prevention. A hydrogel-based soft material similar to the physical properties of extracellular matrix (ECM) has been studied as a facial mask material. In this study, the hydrogel mask was designed to 4D self-transform using a multi-layered and compartmented hydrogel.
