The Chinese sound in Korean shares a tight bound with the Chinese characters of Mandarin in terms of phonological system. There have been a great many studies made on the Chinese and Korean Chinese sounds. Based on the previous studies, the study narrows the range down to the level of phonetic characters using the Chinese-Korean corresponding law of Chinese sounds. The study then explores the phonetic function of phonetic elements in each language and the other language, with the Chinese phonetic elements and the Chinese sounds of phonetic elements as the syllable clues. Only 19 phonetic elements with an initial consonant of bilabial b/p were involved in the investigation. Besides, the various associations between the phonetic elements and characters with “旁pang” were quantified for statistics, and the results of analyses on each part were processed by Chinese-Korean comparisons. The results harvested in the study would be potential to provide an intuitive, effective scientific basis for Chinese learners, Korean learner and Chinese character learners. In this study, the phonetic elements of Chinese phonetic characters were integrated with the Chinese characters in Korea, the Chinese-Korean character and phonetic origin traces, and other elements, so as to probe into the corresponding relationship between Chinese and Korean Chinese sounds from a completely new perspective. This method would be a new attempt for research methodology.
