Anticlericalism as a Context for Renewal of Worship in the Early 16th Century German Reformation = Focused on Martin Luther`s and Thomas Muntzer`s Writings

국문 초록 (Abstract)

16세기 종교개혁은 기독교 역사에서 가장 혁명적인 예배 갱신의 시기였다. 이미 대중 가운데 들끓던 종교적 변화에 대한 요구들은 가시적이고 직접 적인 행동들로 발전했고, 제도화된 형식들뿐만 아니라 예배의 낡은 도구들을 도전하고 붕괴시켰다. 이때 대중 속에 종교적 열정들을 불러일으키는 데 중요 한 역할을 하면서 예배 갱신 운동에 크게 기여한 것이 반(反) 성직주의이다. 반 성직주의는 종교개혁이 진행되는 동안 교회를 개혁하는 자극제로서, 또한 대 중의 종교적 저항을 위한 도구로서의 역할을 수행했다. 한 마디로, 종교개혁 의 성공은 전통적인 체제를 급속히 포기하려는 사람들의 열망을 기반으로 가능했던 것이다. 종교개혁 시대의 예배 갱신을 연구함에 있어서 사람들의 종교적 경건 (piety)의 변화들을 관찰하는 것이 가치 있는 일인데, 왜냐하면 예전 개혁의 문 제는 단지 예전상의 제도와 형식의 문제가 아니라 예배는 신학과 함께 연결되기 때문이다. 즉, 성직체계 일반에 대한 사람들의 불신과 공격 배후에 어떤 신학적 관념들이나 확신들이 있었는지 질문할 필요가 있다. 또한 그러한 신학적 주장들은 대중의 경건의 새로운 흐름들에 어떻게 관계하는지 질문해야 한다. 우리는 이러한 질문들에 개혁자 루터와 뮌처의 사상에 나타난 반성직주의의 발전을 비교함으로써 효과적으로 대답할 수 있다. 간략하게 말해서, 루터와 뮌처는 성직체계에 대한 그들의 공격들에서 아주 다른 모습을 보여줌으로써 서로 다른 형태의 반성직주의를 지원했다. 즉, 루터가 비교적 온건한 반성직 주의를 대표했다면, 뮌처는 급진적인 또는 혁명적인 형태를 대표했다. 그리고 루터의 반성직주의가 오직 믿음으로, 오직 성서로, 만인제사장직 등과 같은 복음적 확신들에 기초했다면, 뮌처는 그의 반성직주의 진술들을 반(反) 지성 주의적 주장들, 신비적 경건, 그리고 묵시적 비전들과 연결시켰다. 결국 이러 한 경건의 갱신에 나타난 차이들은 종교개혁후 개신교 종파들의 예배에 있어 서 다양한 개혁의 흐름들을 가져오게 된다.
